I've been putting in a lot of extra walking / jogging miles to get as light as possible for the start of this cycle. I've also been eating the minimum amount of carbs. I stepped on the scale Friday at 179.
I know Pete P. says that carbs also help you retain water, which I know to be true based on experience. Well, I took Sat and Sun off because I got a cold. I also carbbed up getting ready for a new 12 week cycle this week.
This morning, I stepped on the scale, 186. Seven pounds in two days. Of course mostly water.
